Du Quoin Main in Motorized Wheelchair Struck by Car
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A Du Quoin man was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital Thursday after the motorized wheelchair he was riding in was struck by a car at the intersection of West Main & North Hickory Streets near the Shell service station. Police continue their investigation of the accident, but witnesses identify the man as Robert Osborne of South Maple Street. He was riding in his motorized wheelchair or power scooter eastbound on West Main when he was struck. The man was thrown to the street and his wheelchair caught between the fender and the wheel of the vehicle. Officer Dale Swallers was conducting interviews this morning and the name of the driver that struck the chair was not available.
