Chester Chamber of Commerce's March meeting

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Chester Chamber of Commerce's March meeting will be at the Chester Eagles Club on Tuesday, March 15, in the side room, beginning at noon. The guest speaker will be James "Jim" Hill who has been with the St. Louis District Corps of Engineers since 1981. He has worked over 20 years in the Operations Division as a Park Ranger, Outdoor Recreation Planner, Natural Resource Specialist and Project Manager. Jim has a BS in Forestry with a specialization in Environmental Impact Analysis from Southern Illinois University. He is currently an Operations Project Manager for the Kaskaskia River Project in Southwestern Illinois.

During the lunch meeting, Mr. Hill will talk about improvements that are being made to the Kaskaskia River Lock and Dam, and the project as a whole to further accommodate public use, tourism and economic development in the area. He is wanting to reach out more to the county, municipalities, agencies, organizations and general public in the area to partner/work together in an effort to promote all the area's diverse, unique and interesting attractions and services and opportunities to enhance regional economic and "quality of life" benefits.
