</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Chester Cub Scouts of Pack 316 held their annual Blue & Gold banquet Febraury 20th at St. Mary's Gym. Approximately 200 attended including scouts, family and friends. This years theme was "Under the Big Top" with each Den representing a part of the Circus by either performing a skit, a song or displaying a film that they had made. Some of the performances were the acrobats, the jugglers, the lion tamers and of course the clowns.

Along with the performances each Den received recognition for their hard work since the last Pack meeting. Some of the top awards were their rank badges some being the Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos, along with several arrow points, lots of sports and academic pins and numerous patches that had been earned.

Included in this years banquet was the Arrow of Light presentation conducted by the Order of the Arrow of our District. This award is the highest award that a Scout can earn while in the Cub Scouts. The boys earning this years award were Sawyer McGlone, Tray Deckerd, Zach Zappa and Corey Whittom. These boys were hoored by their leaders Mary Beth Whittom and Beth Zappa with their arrow of light boards they presented to them. These four scouts will continue their journey into Boy Scouts in March when the Bridge over Ceremony will be conducted. From there they will strive for the highest honor in BOy Scouts, becoming an Eagle.

The Scouts of Pack 316 would like to extend a huge thank you and our appreciation to the school sand businesses for all their support and items donated through out the 2010-2011 scouting season. Without your support and generosity, we wouldn't have had such a successful and memorable season. Thank you all so much!!
