Froggy and Friends teach CGS 2nd graders about peer pressure

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Froggy and Friends teach CGS 2nd graders about peer pressure. The ongoing "Froggy and Friends" Character Education Program at Chester Grade School met with Mrs. Guebert's second grade class Thursday February 17 to teach students about "peer pressure". Shown here (left to right) "Froggy and Friends" trainers Steven Ehlers, Lucas Rock, Brie Childs, Kelli Herschbach, Averi Sebastian and Logan Colvis prepare to present the lesson as students watch. Standing with the trainers are Dr. Jim Beers, District Wellness Coordinator and Mrs. Deb Guebert, second grade teacher. In all there are four teaching teams in the "Foggy and Friends" program and monthly each team visits the same second grade classroom to present the lesson. The program is coordinated by Cindy Ponder, School Social Worker. Ponder is assisted by Dr. Beers. All second grade classrooms benefit from the program including Mrs. Guebert, Mrs. Jany, Mrs. Middendorf and Mrs. Cowan. Amy Eggemeyer, School Nurse, and Becky Cowell, Nursing Assistant also supervise a classroom training session in addition to Ponder and Beers.
