Testing into Mensa
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On Friday, February 25, St. Louis Area Mensa, the High IQ Society, will test applicants for membership at the Crowne Plaza Hotel--St. Louis Airport from 7 to 9 P.M. Directions in the hotel lobby will guide the applicant; doors to the testing site will open at 6:30 P.M.
To register, an applicant should bring $40 in cash or check to the testing site. No credit or debit card will be accepted. If payment is made by check, it should be made payable to American Mensa LTD. For information about Mensa, contact Jack Lippold at 314-428-4811.
With the territory of St. Louis Area Mensa embracing eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois counties, readers served by this community newspaper qualify to apply.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel--St. Louis Airport is located at 11228 Lone Eagle Drive in Bridgeton, MO. From west or east I-70 take an exit to southbound Lindbergh Boulevard. On Lindbergh Boulevard heading south turn right at the first driveway onto Lone Eagle Drive.
An applicant from Illinois should take I-70 westward from downtown St. Louis to Lindbergh Boulevard; an applicant from northern or southern Missouri should locate I-270, the St. Louis ring road, then take it to I-70. Central Missourians can access I-70 directly.
Testing for Mensa applications will occur concurrently with the Regional Gathering ("A Knight to Remember") festivities of St. Louis Area Mensa being held elsewhere in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
St. Louis Mensa, with over 650 members, is the 25th largest chapter of the 134 American Mensa chapters in the United States. American Mensa welcomes as a member anyone who scores in the top two percent of the population on an accepted, standardized intelligence test.
