Percy Man Arrested for Soybean Theft
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A combined effort by the Percy Police Department, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, the Randolph County State's Attorney's Office and Gateway Farm Service has lead the arrest of Jamison R. Korando, age 36, of Chester, Illinois.
Korando is charged with theft over $300. Korando allegedly stole over $10,000 but less than $100,000 worth of soybeans from Gateway Farm Service in Percy, Illinois. The offense is a Class 2 felony.
On Jan. 13, 2011, Korando was allegedly caught in the act of loading a semi-tractor trailer truck and stealing 1226 bushels of soybeans. Korando was arrested by Percy Police without incident.
On the same night, Police then executed a search warrant at Korando's residence and recovered additional evidence of thefts. Police continue their investigation. Korando's bond was set at $50,000. Korando remains incarcerated.
