Sara Malanowski and Kortney Crawford will join the Lady Vols softball team next season, while Kelsey Cicardi will play golf for JAL.
Sara Malanowski won 17 games for Pinckneyville's softball team in 2010, helping lead the Lady Panthers to a 35-2 season and a Regional Championship. Malanowski was named to the Southern Illinois River-to-River All-Conference team, the All-South team, and to the IHSA's All-State second team for her efforts in the pitching circle and at the plate.
Kortney Crawford played centerfield for the same Lady Panthers' squad, receiving S.I.R.R. All-Conference, All-South, and IHSA All-State second team honors in 2010. Crawford also scored the winning run in Pinckneyville's Regional Championship victory over Anna-Jonesboro.
Former Lady Panthers Mandi Kellerman and Nicole Cheek are currently sophomores on the JAL softball team.
Kelsey Cicardi was part of Pinckneyville's first girls' golf team to ever claim a Regional Championship in 2010.
Cicardi was recognized each of the past two years with S.I.R.R. All-Conference honors and was also named PCHS's most-improved golfer in 2009.
