BASKETBALL: PCHS Freshmen, Sophs win on Monday
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pinckneyville's freshmen moved to 5-3 on the 2010-11 season last night by knocking off West Frankfort 43-29 at the Pinckneyville Junior High School. The Panthers' sophomore team also came away a 44-40 winner to earn their first win of the year.
In the freshmen contest, Justyn Rushing led the way for Pinckneyville with 10 points, Chase Lazenby added 9 and Shakya Hamilton had 8.
Sterling Bejma had a team-high 12 points and 9 rebounds for the Panther sophomores, Zach Phillips added 8 points.
The freshman and sophomore Panthers are now off until January 3 when they travel to Waltonville for a 6:15 p.m. meeting.
