Mueller Pleads Not Guilty to All Charges
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Judge Brian Babka asked Perry County State's Attorney David Stanton and defense attorney Charles Stegmeyer to confer then submit several possible dates for a hearing on the defense's motion for a change of venue for Robbie Mueller, 15, in the murder of Sidnee Stephens.
Judge Babka granted a motion to amend the charges against Mueller.
The motion brings the total number of charges against Mueller to 10, including four first-degree murder charges, aggravated kidnapping, home invasion, residential burglary, kidnapping and concealment of a homicidal death.
Mueller pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Along with the motion to amend the charges, Stanton filed two notices explaining that, if convicted, Mueller is eligible for an extended sentence due to the use of a firearm in the commission of the murder and for life without parole due to the brutal and heinous nature of the crime.
The final motion approved at the status hearing sought DNA, fingerprint and hair samples from Mueller. It was granted without objection from the defense.
The hearing on the change of venue should be held in January.
Mueller and two other Pinckneyville men- Carl Dane, 18, and James E. Glazier, 17, are accused of murdering 15-year-old Sidnee Stephens of Pinckneyville. Her body was found in the Beaucoup Creek in July 2010.
