BASKETBALL: Hornettes too much for PCHS

"I thought we defended very well in the first half, not giving up anything easy and making Nashville continually work," said Lady Panthers' head coach Alan Engelhardt.
"Unfortunately we didn't do a great job early on of running offense ourselves and we allowed them to build a lead."
Maddy Keith led PCHS with 8 points, Taylor Cicardi added 5, Dani Jenkel and Mo Ramsey each had 3, Katrina Henson and Taylor Kuhnert 2.
"Aside from a few individual breakdowns, this was our best job of playing team defense, and at times, we did the best job we have done this year of running motion offense," Engelhardt said.
"We just still have a lot of work to do in order to compete against a good team like Nashville. They are heads and shoulders better than anyone we have seen this year."
The Lady Panthers (4-3, 1-1) take to the road when they Sparta (4-2, 1-0) this Thursday (7:45 p.m.) before hosting Du Quoin on Tuesday, December 14 for their home opener.
