</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Tamaroa-St. Bruno began hosting the Indian Invitational Tournament on Monday, with the host team opening up play by beating Unity 39-33 and forcing 17 turnovers.
The Indians built a nine-point lead at the half, but struggled to close out down the stretch until Brock Bullar hit a pair of clutch free throws in the closing minute of play.
Bullar's 10 points led the Indians, Jordan Grissom added 9, Cole Bigham 8, Nolan Luke 7, Robbie Borchelt 3 and Tyler Iubelt 2.
TSB will take on St. Ann on Tuesday night at 7:45 p.m. at the Tamaroa Community Center as tournament play continues.
<u>#204 53, Oakdale 20 (boys)</u>
Also at the Indian Invite yesterday, Pinckneyville District #204 crushed Oakdale 53-20 last night behind Caleb Dahn's game-high 19 points.
Brian Taylor chipped in 14 points for the Tigers, who were led in rebounding by Jacob Jackson with 7.
Pinckneyville Dist. #204 (14-1) takes on Trinity St. John/Immanual Lutheran this evening in the 6:30 p.m. contest at Tamaroa Community Center.
<u>Other TSB Invite action</u>
With Elverado pulling out of the tournament due to a scheduling problem, District #204's junior-varsity squad took their place in the TSB Invite and fell to St. Ann in the second game on Monday, while Desoto topped TSJ-IL in the 7:45 nightcap.
The #204 J-V squad plays again at 5:15 on Tuesday against Unity.
Thursday's games (at St. Bruno in Pinckneyville) include District #204 taking on Desoto at 6:30 p.m., followed by the #204 J-V squad facing TSB. The tourmament concludes on Saturday with the winners of each pool facing off in the 1:45 p.m. championship.
The third place game tips off at 12:30 p.m. after a noon start for the three-point shootout.
<u>#204 22, OLMC 17 (girls)</u>
Pinckneyville Dist. #204's girls got 13 points from Taylor Smith and defeated OLMC 22-17 last night to move to 17-2 on the year with 5 regular season contests left on the schedule.
Sophie Keith added 4 points for the Lady Tigers, Megan Bagley had 3, Torrie Carter 2.
Dist. #204 is at Elverado on Tuesday night before '8th grade night' at home against Desoto on Thursday. Tip-off for the J-V contest in both games is at 6:00 p.m.
