BASKETBALL: PJHS, TSB boys post victories
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Trent Hicks and Austin Ferguson each scored 14 points as Pinckneyville Junior High School (District #50) knocked off Trico 50-33 last night at home.
The Junior Panthers jumped ahead early with a 13-4 opening quarter, forcing the Junior Pioneers to play from behind the entire game.
Jacob Downard added 9 points for PJHS (Dist. #50), Alec Brand 5, Stephano Euells 4, and Zach Hagene and James Davidson each finished with 2.
PJHS (3-4, 1-0) is back in action Tuesday evening as they host Nashville with junior varsity tipping off at 6:00 p.m.
<u>Tamaroa-St. Bruno 52, OLMC 37</u>
Tamaroa-St. Bruno used a 14-4 first quarter to hold off OLMC last night by a final of 52-37 as three Indians finished in double figures.
Nolan Luke led the way for TSB with 19 points with Robbie Borchelt and Jordan Grissom each chipping in 10.
Tyler Iubelt finished with 7 points and Brock Bullar ended up with 6 for the Indians, who won for the third consecutive game following victories over Oakdale and Elverado.
Tamaroa-St. Bruno (6-3) returns to action again on Tuesday, hosting Desota at the Tamaroa Community Center (JV - 6:00 p.m.).
