VOLLEYBALL: SIRR & BDC All-Conference Selections
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[All-conference selections have been made for IHSA Volleyball, and a number of local players are represented on various teams throughout Southern Illinois.
Du Quoin's Kelsey Toler and Megi Jones along with Pinckneyville's Maddy Keith and Haleigh Hagood represent Perry County on the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division squad.
Joining them are 4 players from conference champion Nashville: Melanie Rhine, Jenny Moeller, Kourtney Heggemeier and Breanne Pelker. Rounding out the Mississippi team were Emma Basler (Anna-Jonesboro), Chandra Parr (Anna-Jonesboro), Makenzie Housman (Anna-Jonesboro) and Jessica Robinson (Sparta).
The Ohio Division team consists of Benton's Sydney Potts, Lindsay Hathcoat, Dymin Hayes and Molly Whaley, Massac County's McKenzie Dorris, Madison Stephens and Colleen McDermott, Murphysboro's Audrey Vaughn, Nichole Nolan and Jessica Stanton, Herrin's Abby Horn, West Frankfort's Jasmine Chromack and Harrisburg's Alexa Morgan.
Elverado senior Tiffany Yearian was named to the 2010 Black Diamond All-Conference Second Team for her outstanding play this year with the Lady Falcons volleyball team. Yearian was Elverado's leader in kills for the season.
Compiling the first team for the Black Diamond were MVP Hope Valette (Christopher), Captain Beth Daniels (Trico), Tiffani Marshall (Chester), Stacy Holland (Christopher), Hannah Vantrease (Zeigler-Royalton), Shelly Lyons (Chester) and Amie Conway (Trico).
Joining Yearian on the second team were Tasha Doerr (Sesser-Valier Waltonville), Alex Wilkinson (Christopher), Racheal Grear (Zeigler-Royalton) and Ashley Opp (Christopher).
