Area students discover Chicago
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Twenty four youth and seven adult chaperones from Randolph County attended the 2010 Discover Chicago trip on October 9-11 sponsored by University of Illinois Extension. On the way to Chicago, the group stopped at the University of Illinois for lunch and a demonstration in the chemistry department. While in the Chicago, participants enjoyed visits to Medieval Times, Shedd Aquarium, John Hancock Center, Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, and Rainforest Café. A total of 102 youth and adults from throughout southern Illinois went on the trip which is offered to students in fifth through seventh grade. Parents attending included Jill Asbury, Margo Block, James Gentry, Shay Hagel, Sara Jebron, Michael Koester, and Lori Woods. Randolph County 4-H Community Worker Yvonne Eater also attended.
