Area students discover Chicago

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Twenty four youth and seven adult chaperones from Randolph County attended the 2010 Discover Chicago trip on October 9-11 sponsored by University of Illinois Extension. On the way to Chicago, the group stopped at the University of Illinois for lunch and a demonstration in the chemistry department. While in the Chicago, participants enjoyed visits to Medieval Times, Shedd Aquarium, John Hancock Center, Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, and Rainforest Caf&#233;. A total of 102 youth and adults from throughout southern Illinois went on the trip which is offered to students in fifth through seventh grade. Pictured above (not in order) are: Bailey Gale, Emma Adams, Kristen Woods, Elizabeth Koester, Morgan Lyons, Skylar Manker, Kaleb Schwarz, Rylee Sheldon, Clayton Sheldon, Kaylee Stengel, Zackary Thompson, Grace Koester, Kursten Boucher, Dylan Cavalier, Melissa Crosby, Samantha Gentry, Chloe Gerlach, Nicolas Hagel, Ciara Hogendobler, Taylor James, Mallory Jones, Lexy Jebron, Korey Klausing, and Austin Block. Parents attending included Jill Asbury, Margo Block, James Gentry, Shay Hagel, Sara Jebron, Michael Koester, and Lori Woods. Randolph County 4-H Community Worker Yvonne Eater also attended.
