911 mapping presentation given to ETSB

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Over the past several months the 911 office and the Randolph County Sheriff's Department have been working towards an advanced 911 emergency mapping program. This map will be available in the Randolph County Sheriffs PSAP and the Sparta Police Department PSAP.

We anticipate in the near future this emergency mapping program will be made available to the departments and the police departments,

The mapping program presented has many state of the art features. The telecommunicator has a number of options to assist in identifying critical location information.

Aerial photography

Call box shows location of tower and latitude/longitude of caller with a confidence factor the telephone comapny expresses in meters for Phase 2 calls.

Intersection search

Type in GPS coordinates

Assist in getting latitude/longitude to helicopters for landing zones

Drawing events will show road closed, controlled burn, request for extra patrol or any special event

Spatial will show areas highlighted with a box drawn around them with resident names and addresses in table format
