Steeleville loses in regionals
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Steeleville's volleyball season ended with a first round loss to Chester in last week's regional tournament at Elverado.
Chester seemed to take control of the first game when they scored seven straight points to go up 15-8, but the Warriors fought their way back into the contest. Steeleville tied the score on a few occasions, including 23-23, but Chester was able to come up with enough points to get the 25-23 win.
Steeleville came out strong for the start of game two and took a 6-2 lead, but Chester dominated play the rest of the way and went on to win easily by a score of 25-14.
Brooke Rees led in kills with five and Alex Gale had four. Taylor Grafton had six assists while Brooke Woods added four assists. Brooke Cates led in digs with seven and Megan Jeffers had four. Mackenzie Doeding led in blocks with two. The top servers were Gale with seven points and Sara Potter with six.
