Steeleville splits games
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Last week Steeleville's volleyball squad split two Cahokia Conference matches. Against Dupo they came away with a 25-11, 25-11 win. Alex Gale and Brooke Rees were the top spikers for the Warriors. Gale connected on seven kills and Rees had six. Taylor Grafton led in assists with seven. Brooke Cates served for 11 points, Brooke Woods had eight and Sara Potter added seven.
Against Lebanon the Warriors lost in three games. Steeleville took the first game 25-22 but dropped the next two 25-23 and 26-24. Gale was again the leading hitter with seven kills and Rees had six. Cates led in digs with 11, Gale had 10 and Rees had eight. Woods led in assists with four and served for 18 points while Grafton had nine points and Gale added seven.
