TRACK: #204 Tigers bring home state hardware

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Pinckneyville District #204 Tigers girls&#39; track team returned home with a third place finish from the 2010 SIJHSAA Class S state meet in Salem this past Saturday, while Sophie Keith also claimied 3rd individually for the Tigers in the girls&#39; division.

Keith&#39;s time of 12:26 was just nineteen seconds off of first place Emily Wade (Selmaville) and only eight seconds behind Holly Stallard (Noble) in the event held at Bryan Memorial Park.

Two other Dist. #204 girls also medaled - Savannah Cheek was 27th (13:28.36) and Shania Opp was right behind her in 28th (13:28.84).

Caleb Logan medaled for the Tigers in the boys&#39; division, coming in 36th with a time of 12:36.

Also contributing to the Tigers&#39; third place finish in the girls&#39; race were Lindsey Taylor (47th), Lydia Petska (67th) and Caitie Opp (97th). Dist. #204 (score of 159) finished behind event winner St. Joe-Olney&#39;s team score of 61 and Norris City-Omaha&#39;s 121.

The boys&#39; finished 14th as a team amongst the 24 competing squads, with Sam Simpson, Brandon Zelasko, T.J. Borque, Garrett Johnson, Kyle Kreger and Luke Zelasko joinging Logan in participation for the Tigers.
