BASEBALL: PJHS advances to final

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville Junior High School baseball moved on to the finals of their Regional tournament, beating Chester 6-4 on Friday at Trico.

Trent Hicks tossed all seven innings for the Junior Panthers, picking up the pitching victory.

Up next for Pinckneyville is Regional host Trico. The Junior Pioneers host PCHS this afternoon at 4:30 for the championship and the right to keep playing.

In other junior high baseball, St. Bruno-Tamaroa will face St. John-Chester on Monday with the first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Rigdon Field in the Pinckneyville Fairgrounds with a Regional championship also at stake.

SB-T advanced to the finals by shutting out Evansville this past Thursday by the score of 14-0.
