VOLLEYBALL: Lady Panthers win in Du Quoin

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville won for the second time in as many nights, getting the better of Du Quoin in volleyball 25-22 and 25-18 last night to improve to 7-9 overall with their first conference victory of 2010.

Maddy Keith continued her stellar play at the net for the Lady Panthers with 12 kills in the game, Taylor Cicardi added another 7. Sara Malanowski again led the way in assists with 15.

For Du Quoin, Rebekah Maddox finished with 7 kills for the team lead. Keawna Anders had 10 digs for the Lady Indians, who fell to 15-5 overall and 2-2 in the Mississippi Division.

The Lady Panthers are off until Monday, when they travel to Red Bud for a meeting with the Lady Musketeers before a Tuesday evening matchup in Carterville with the Lady Lions.

Du Quoin returns to action Tuesday at home against Anna-Jonesboro, and hosts Sparta next Thursday (Sept. 30).
