Booster Club to Offer Associate Memberships

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin Athletic Booster Club voted last week to sell non-voting membership cards to Du Quoin Indian fans for $5 to support the programs of the Booster Club.

The Booster Club will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Du Quoin High School cafeteria.

The Booster Club is currently working on T-shirts for Indian pre-game tailgates and a chili supper. They sponsored water for parents' night. They have provided crackers for the twice-a-day football practices as well as materials for sporting events and signs to show their support for Du Quoin teams.

The club will also be sending sack lunches to Bethalto for the JV game on Saturday.

Club officers say the boosters are hoping to get new ideas and offer residents in the community the opportunity to show their support to the athletes in Du Quoin. They would like to promote more communication between Indian fans and the club.

The Booster Club will be selling raffle tickets for half a hog with two winners.

Those tickets will be sold until Oct. 8.

Chili supper tickets will go on sale Aug. 27 before the supper on Senior Night Oct. 8. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10.

The tailgate will be held on Sept. 24, homecoming and the first meeting of Carterville vs. Du Quoin. Purchase your T-shirt for the beginning of this new rivalry.

If you would like more information or purchase a Du Quoin Booster Club card, please see a Booster club member at any of the home athletic events.

Lastly, don't forget to show your support for your favorite athlete by purchasing a button from the Booster club. Buttons are on sale for $3.
