Josh Downs Candidate For Du Quoin Commissioner

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Josh Downs has officially announced he will run in the April 5, 2011 election for Du Quoin City Council. The son of Michael and Carol Downs, Josh is a graduate of Du Quoin High School and Southern Illinois University. Downs is presently employed by Du Quoin Community Unit School District 300 as the District's Elementary Home-School Coordinator, while also serving as Secretary of the Du Quoin Park Board.

While Downs believes the city is headed in the right direction, he states there is always room for improvement, and he plans to work diligently to ensure improvements are made. Downs plans to kick off his campaign during the Du Quoin State Fair.
