Mr. Laufer, a resident of Renault, qualified to go to the national conference by placing second at the state level in the category of Cyber Security. At the national conference students compete with others from all over the United States. Though he did not place in the top 10 at nationals, he represented Christ Our Savior, Randolph and Monroe Counties well. Congratulations to Ben Laufer. Other students from Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School who have qualified in the past to attend the national conference were Jessica Wegener and Melissa Seymour.

"We are excited to offer multiple co-curricular activities like FBLA at Christ Our Savior which help to enhance a well-rounded education. It is value-added opportunities like these that make COSLHS a unique place for families to be a part. We are proud of Ben and the FBLA for using their gifts to serve the Lord and His people."

Christ Our Savior has had an active chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America for over four years. Each year students compete in leadership conferences around the state along with supporting charities such as Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and March of Dimes. The COS FBLA group was recognized by March of Dimes for earning the most money per student in the state of Illinois in 2010.
