Streets discussed at Ellis Grove board meeting

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The following items were discussed at the Ellis Grove August 2 board meeting:

Streets are melting, so 59.22 tons of chips were spread on the streets to control oil bleeding through.

Cross Connection Survey requests were sent to all water customers. The Village is required by law to conduct this survey on a regular basis. The purpose of the survey is to insure that the drinking water supply is safe and uncontaminated.

The water tower went online on July 15. An EPA operating permit was received on July 22. The warranty period for water is one year. July 9, 2011 will require a visual inspection of the tower by Caldwell Tank, Inc.

Summer flowers will be removed from the Ellis Grove Cemetery after September 1.
