Local girl scout creates recycling program

"I have chosen this project because of my love for nature and the outdoors. Being active in outdoor sports in my community, I have become aware of an enormous amount of waste that is being poured into landfills instead of being recycled. My community has a recycling program but nothing that is specific to the Cohen Complex and Cole Park ball field. Though the city already has a recycling program, I felt the need for another program in the community to enhance the current one," said Andrews.
The development of Andrews' project creates another opportunity for community members to recycle, which will lessen the impact of plastic in the environment. Andrews' project objective is to instill and impact recycling on future generations.
"Furthermore, my project allows me to display my support of recycling, and my appreciation of the environment and community of Chester, which I reside in," said Andrews
