U.S. Attorney A. Courtney Cox said Prince, sentenced last Wednesday, must also pay restitution of $702,850 and serve three years of supervised release.

The government said Prince was president and co-operator of LT Consulting Inc., an employee leasing company operating from Du Quoin. Employee leasing companies are businesses that contractually assume responsibility for the human-resource related functions for small businesses.

Prince pleaded guilty to misappropriating client funds that were collected to pay workers' compensation insurance premiums and fraudulently reducing the workers' compensation insurance premiums charged by LT Consulting's insurers.

The investigation also led to the convictions of two co-conspirators who have been sentenced.
