BREAKING SPORTS: George agrees to terms with Angels
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[With a single pen stroke, Bryant George's professional baseball career began Thursday night. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim midwest director of scouting Joel Murrie (left) was in town to officially sign George, who reports to the Arizona Rookie League Sunday. In a few weeks, he's expected to be assigned to the Angels' Class A affiliate in Orem, Ut. George becomes Du Quoin's second currently active professional athlete. Nick Hill, who grew up in the same Lakeview Lane neighborhood as George, plays quarterback for the Orlando Predators of the Arena-1 Football League.
