Back to School (Already): DHS Registration Information
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[<span style="">Below you will find school registration dates and information,as well as a schedule of important dates and times. All students must attend registration at the appropriate times and dates listed. The high school will only register students; parent(s)/guardian(s) may accompany students, however, the student(s) must be present. Many forms and information will be distributed during this time and all schedule changes must be made during registration week. School pictures for the yearbook and student ID's will also be taken at this time.
Please read the Student - Parent Handbook that will be handed out during registration week. </span>

<span style="">Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at 4-6:00 p.m.
All freshmen must present a physical before they will be allowed to register. A sports physical form will not be accepted. All other students must have up-to-date immunizations on file. Students who still need shots were notified by the school nurse. Records of the immunizations by those students need to be presented at the time of registration. New students to the district must also present an official copy of their birth certificate and health records. </span>
<span style="">All students should receive a student information registration letter in the mail prior to registration. Please make sure the student information form is completely filled out and return it to the office on registration day. Receiving the lunch applications and approving them before school starts allows us to enter the students in the lunchroom computer before the first day of school. Lunch prices are $1.50 and $0.40 for reduced. Breakfast prices are $0.50 and $0.30 for reduced. You will be responsible for lunches purchased up until you date and return your lunch application for free/reduced priced meals.</span>
Students will also sign up to ride the bus if they qualify, pick up class schedules, pay book rental fees, have their school pictures taken for the yearbook(if ordering pictures, packet cost range is $10-$40, separate check) due on the day they are taken, receive a student agenda book, and a student/parent handbook.<span style=""> </span>
<span style="">Book rental and locker fees are $58 per student. Students in Driver Education must pay $50 at registration. Book and locker fees can be written as one check.
Students may purchase a yearbook for $40 w/o name, $43 w/name. Cost of a yearbook will be $45 if ordered after March 15. Must be written as a separate check to DHS Yearbook</span>
<span style="">Students wanting a schedule change or Co-op placement may do so during registration week.</span>
* School Time insurance is free to all students. This insurance covers a student during the regular school day. Twenty-four hour insurance and football insurance will be available at registration. The cost of twenty-four hour and football insurance will be announced at a later date.<span style=""> </span>
<span style="">*Students wanting to participate in fall sports must have physicals and proof of insurance turned in before a student will be allowed to practice.</span>
*New students to the district must present at registration health records, birth certificate, physicals for freshmen, Affidavit of Residency form/proof of residency (e.g. driver license, voter registration), sign release of record form, and proof of custody.
