Lady Musketeers win three

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[In high school softball action last Tuesday Red Bud defeated Wesclin by a score of 6-3 despite being outhit in the contest. Bianca Durbin hit a home run, Tori Albert had a double and Tara Hubert added a single.

Wednesday&#39;s action saw Red Bud defeat Steeleville by a score of 10-6. The Lady Musketeers started strong with five runs in the first and had built a 10-2 lead after five innings. Red Bud then had to hold on as Steeleville managed to get four runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Red Bud&#39;s offense came alive in this contest with 13 hits. Hubert had three hits in three at-bats, Albert got a double and a single, Taylor Steinmann had a double, Dany Gargac hit two singles and Lauren Horrell, Amy Koester, Ciara Schaefer, Lora Tindall and Jessica Snyder added one single each.

Hubert was the winning pitcher. In seven innings she gave up eight hits, walked one and struck out seven.

On Thursday Red Bud earned a thrilling 2-1 win over Freeburg. The Lady Musketeers scored once in the first inning, Freeburg tied the game with a run in the third and Red Bud pushed the winning run across in the bottom of the seventh.

Snyder had a great day at the plate with two doubles and two singles in four at-bats while Hubert had a double and two singles, Koester hit two singles and Albert added one single.

Andrea Hartmann picked up the win for the Lady Musketeers. She allowed only three hits, walked two and struck out four.
