Ellis Grove board meeting held

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On May 10 Ellis Grove held their regular board meeting.

The following Village appointments were made at the board meeting: Fire Chief-Jerry Suhre; Fire Dept. Treasurer-Michael Jackson; Police Chief-Chris Pierman; Patrolman-Fred Peters; Treasurer-Brenda Valleroy; Collector-Linda Butler; EMA Coordinator-Charles Hanton; Attorney-Jeff Kerkhover; and Engineer-J T Blankinship.

Kelly Walls was seated to fill a vacancy on the board.

The Ellis Grove Annual Memorial Day Dinner & Cemetery Service will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Village Hall. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m.

A large item trash pickup was approved for Thursday, May 20. Items should be placed curbside for early pickup.

Moore, Renner & Simonin were approved for hire to conduct the annual audit.

The following water tower information was given: The grant is $337,500; the loan amount is $300,000; and Caldwell bid was $427,500. The tank is painted and currently waiting for installing of fencing and electric panels.

Pay estimates were approved as follows: J T Blankinship - Lock & Dam design engineering - $19,247.40; J T Blankinship - Water Tank construction & project services - $9652.41; J T Blankinship - Water Tank Grant administration fee balance - $1000.00; Caldwell Tank - Water Tank painting, etc. - $30,712.50.
