Tuesday's boys prep track: Frosh-Soph thinclads strong at Benton
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Winning three field events, Du Quoin High School's boys track team returned from the Benton Frosh-Soph Relays with the second place trophy Tuesday.
Salem won the six-team affair with Herrin, Marion, Benton and C-Z-R following the Indians.
Brandon Williams, Bryce Willi and Christian Riley teamed up for first in the Shot Put relay with Williams, Gene Rodley and Bryce Ford winning the Discus.
Du Quoin's first place showing in the Pole Vault (31'0) included 11'6 efforts from Cayle Diggins and Haeden Sweetin.
The young Indians host the Du Quoin frosh-soph relays at Van Metre Field Wednesday.
Friday, the varsity squad competes at Sparta's Buzz Bradley Invitational.
