Friday afternoon, PCHS blanked Pleasant Plains 10-0 and then followed with three Saturday wins in the Southern Illinois Showcase.
Now 20--1 and scheduled to visit Nashville Monday, the Lady Panthers defeated Toledo-Cumberland 8-4, second ranked St. Joseph-Ogden 10-9 and Teutopolis 9-2 during a busy Saturday.
"We won six of seven games last week and four big games with out of the area opponents," Lady Panthers coach Greg Hale said. "I give a lot of credit to our pitching staff as (Sarah) Malanowski, (Taylor) Cicardi and (Emily) Chapman teamed up in the game against St. Joseph-Ogden."
Malanowski's two-hitter paced the win over Pleasant Plains as Emily Miller socked three hits and Kortney Crawford homered.
Maddy Keith was 2-for-4.
Chapman tossed a six-hitter in the win over Cumberland with Sheristy Stanton going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
A five-run sixth pushed the Lady Panthers to a narrow win over St. Joe-Ogden.
Cicardi (3-0) was credited with the pitching win. Crawford had three hits.
PCHS then closed the day with a lopsided victory over Teutopolis.
Taylor Cicardi had a three-run homer with Malanowski again gaining the pitching win.
