Pinckneyville Community Hospital's Certificate of Need to discontinue services at the current hospital and build a new hospital at the intersection of Route 154 and White Walnut Road is slated for consideration that day.

The State Agency Report on Pinckneyville's proposed project is 42 pages long. It addresses every aspect of the building project, including financing.

The cost of the project is estimated at $46 million. The SAR found that the hospital could reasonably pay the debt service on the construction project and that the Housing and Urban Development 242 loan guarantee program eliminates the risk of a substantial local tax increase.

The Health Facilities Planning Board will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20 at Harold Washington College in Chicago. The final agenda for that meeting will be available online no later than April 16.
