</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Chester High School Class of 2005 will host a fish fry at the Chester Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday, April 16 from 4-7:30 p.m. The event will be the final fish fry at the KC's for the 2010 fish fry season.

Spokesperson for the Class of 2005, Michelle Rust, states that the fish fry is being held with a dual purpose. "We are asking for support from the community to help us raise funds for our upcoming Class of 2005 Class Reunion and we are also going to make a contribution to the Class of 2010 Project Graduation," notes Rust. "Our fund raiser will not only benefit the Class of 2005 but the Class of 2010."

"In these tough economic times not everyone has extra cash to cover the expenses of a nice class reunion, so by holding the fish fry we can help raise money to pay for some of the expenses of the gathering and keep the cost to our classmates as low as possible. It is important for us to stay in touch with our classmates so the fundraiser will hopefully make it more possible for everyone to attend," stated Rust.

The fish fry will feature carry-outs, dine-in eating or even delivery. For carry-out or delivery service patrons can simply call (618) 826-3316. The menu features all-you-can-eat fish, shrimp, baked potatoes, fries, potato salad, slaw and tossed salad, all for a price of only $8.00 a person.

The Class of 2005 Reunion Committee consists of Michelle Rust, Kellie Lankford, Chelsie Petrowske and Jimmy Beers. The foursome has met several times during the past months putting together the details of the upcoming five-year gathering.

The reunion will take place the weekend of Chester High School Homecoming 2010 which is Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2. The group will ride in the Homecoming Parade and attend the 2010 Homecoming game Friday, October 1st.

The actual reunion will be Saturday, October 2 at in the upstairs room at Moof's in Chester. Activities planned so far include appetizers, entertainment, socialization and a brief video program. The committee plans to mail out invitations to the class August 20. Anyone who wishes to make suggestions or comments regarding the reunion can do so by calling Michelle Rust at (618) 826-2029.
