Steeleville Jaycees plan Easter events

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The regular March meeting was held on March 16 at the Steeleville Eagles and the Steeleville Jaycees are in full swing with their normal spring activities and even adding some new ones! Atop the agenda for the evening was the first ever JC Bunny Hop which will take place on April 3 at the Steeleville Eagles. The event is new to the JC spring line up and will include music by "Houndstooth Harmony", an adult Easter Egg Hunt and "Rabbit" races, Chickenpoop Bingo, and a silent auction. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and attendance prizes given out throughout the evening. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the JC's and anyone wanting to volunteer or needing more information can contact Renee at 615-9409 or Megan at 214-5402 and tickets are available in advance.

Next on the agenda was the annual children's Easter Egg Hunt which will once again be held in the city park on Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m. with a rain date of April 3. The age range will once again be 0-10 years old. There will be prizes given out for finding "special" eggs and each child receives a goody bag and gift from First National Bank of Steeleville while supplies last. The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance for pictures! Anyone wishing to volunteer can contact Renee at 615-9409 or just come to the park at 8:30 a.m. that morning. The next spring event on the agenda is the annual Road Rally which will be held on April 10. This year's theme is "Rocking through the 80's". Registration will be held at the Steeleville Eagles from 5:45-6:15 p.m. with teams leaving out at 6:30 p.m. It was decided that teams are limited to the number of seat belts in the team's vehicle. Also on the table for discussion was the upcoming BBQ's at Dave's Food Center, the road clean-up and donations to the Steeleville Recreation Committee and Beattie/Lindenberg Golf Tournament.
