Junior High Roundup: Lady Warriors in regional final

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Junior Southwestern Egyptian Conference (Jr. SWEC) rivals Du Quoin (Middle School) and Trico (Junior High School) will meet for the fourth time this season Friday, deciding the Southern Illinois Junior High School Association (SIHSAA) Class L Region 4 regional title.

Thursday night, the Lady Warriors (28-2) dispatched West Frankfort's Central Junior High School by 25-20, 25-11 scores in the opening semifinal match at Herrin. Trico then surprised host Herrin to reach the title battle with DMS at 5:30 Friday night.

"It definitely wasn't the prettiest game but we liked the outcome," Lady Warriors coach Isaac Miller said. "We just have to stay focused and keep the chemistry we've had so far growing. Right now, I really believe in this group and I think they have what it takes to keep on winning."

DMS, the two-time defending state champion. won all three of the previous matches with Trico.
