Girls Prep Basketball: Elverado splits games
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elverado High School's Girls basketball team finished the week with a 1-1 record-and is now 5-16 overall-following a pair of games.
On Tuesday, the Lady Falcons broke free after being deadlocked with Dongola at halftime, pulling away for a 56-23 win.
Wednesday night, Elverado fell at Cobden 57-25.
Monday, EHS hosts Woodlawn.
Against Dongola, the contest was knotted at 14-14 by intermission before the Lady Falcons pulled away with a huge second half run.
Courtney Morse led the way with 18 points. Lacy Qualls added 16.
Morse (nine) and Qualls (six) were scoring aces versus Cobden.
"We played pretty well in the second half and wore downDongola," Elverado coach Lance Bedar said. "It was good to get that fifth victory."
