Boys Prep Basketball: Prime-Time list now includes Du Quoin senior

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[During Tuesday's game against Edwardsville Metro-East Lutheran, senior Matt Gossett became the fifth player in the long and proud history of Du Quoin High School basketball to score 40 or more points in a game.

Gossett scored 40 of the Tribe's 63 points in the overtime defeat, besting his previous career high of 30 points (vs. Pinckneyville on Dec. 22). The only other former Indians to equal or best that effort are Alan Crews (51 points, 1967), Roger Schneider (49 points, 1974), Nick Hill (43 points, 2001), Don Stanhouse (1969, 41 points) and Monte Kuhnert (40 points twice; 1984 and 1986).
