Boys Frosh Basketball: Du Quoin in Final Four at B.I.T.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin High School's Freshman Basketball team shook off a slow offensive start and improved its record to 2-0 Monday, defeating Murphysboro 34-21 in the first game of the 46th Annual Benton Frosh Invitational.

The young Indians advance into the semifinals Wednesday and will play host Benton at 6 o'clock.

After hitting just one field goal in the first quarter-and trailing 7-5-Du Quoin forged ahead 16-11 by halftime and opened a 10-point margin (25-15) as the final quarter began.

Deeja Cole led the Indians with a game-high 13 points. Dalton Donoghue had five points. Brenden Fred, Travis Chapman and Nate Boss all scored four.

As the tourney continues Tuesday, Massac County faces Herrin and Pinckneyville plays #1 seed Harrisburg.
