2009 Du Quoin Tip-Off Classic: Du Quoin, Waltonville on Collision Course

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Host Du Quoin built a 31-point fourth quarter lead and eased home with a 75-55 win over Cairo Friday night in the 12th Annual Du Quoin Tip-Off Classic.

The Indians, 2-0, face Benton (0-2) Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and then close the tourney versus undefeated Waltonville (3-0) in the 8 o'clock game.

Against Cairo, Du Quoin center Matt Gossett logged game-high totals in points (20) and rebounds (10) as the Indians rolled. JC Davis added 19 points, hitting five three-pointers. He also had three steals and seven assists. Logan Schneider (14) also scored in double figures.

Lee Wright had 20 for Cairo (1-2).

In the first game Friday, Waltonville held back a scrappy Benton ballclub, 50-43.

Cairo and Carterville play at 2 p.m. Saturday. The final session starts with Benton vs Carterville (6:30).
