Holiday Lights Fair Tree Competition

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[First Place Grades 9-12--The Du Quoin Tourism Commission this week judged entries in the annual Festival of Trees competition at the Du Quoin State Faigrounds Expo Hall. This elegant holiday tree was created by members of the Du Quoin French Club. It contains handmade "googly eyed" French croissant rolls and raffia bows. The Holiday Lights Fair runs now through Dec. 30.

First Place Grades 5-8--Congratulations to the Shamrock 4H club for this fun and beautifully decorated Festival of Lights tree entry with its bright colors and handmade ornaments.

First Place Pre-K-Grade 4--The students of the Buttons 'n Bows Learning Center in Du Quoin are perennial participants in the Holiday Lights Festival of Trees. This beautiful tree has handmade ornaments and is done in blue and white.
