Hospital Auxiliary Tree of Remembrance gets donations
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Memorial Hospital Auxiliary's Tree of Remembrance campaign for 2009 is underway and donations received to date total $2,025.00. Memorials and donations to the Tree of Remembrance have helped the hospital to fund many projects through the years and funds raised this year will be used to furnish the new MRI waiting area and MRI suite with furniture, décor, and patient accessories. We hope to make the area a pleasant place for our patients to relax before the exam in our state-of-the-art wide open short bore MRI scanner. The MRI suite is scheduled to open early in April of 2010.
Those wishing to make a donation or memorial contribution in honor of a loved one may do so by sending it to the Tree of Remembrance Chairman Virginia Rowold at Memorial Hospital, 1900 State Street, Chester, Illinois 62233, or by dropping it in the collection box in the hospital's front lobby.
The Auxiliary will officially kick off the 2009 campaign when the membership gathers for the annual Christmas luncheon on Friday, December 4. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the hospital's Conference Room and reservations must be made by December 3, by calling Virginia Rowold at 826-4581, ext. 1299. All members, both Active and Inactive, are invited to attend.
Pastor Mark Willig of St. John Lutheran Church will preside at the official tree lighting ceremony. He will also install the Auxiliary officers for the coming year.
