Junior High Basketball: PJHS Handles Sesser-Valier
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pinckneyville (Junior High School) led from the opening tip-off Monday night, rolling past Sesser-Valier (Junior High School) in boys basketball action.
The final score was 58-32.
Justyn Rushing topped the Junior Panthers with a game-high 14 points. Teammate Henry Dudek added 10 points with Lucas Carter (eight points) and Chase Lazenby (seven points) just missing double-digits.
PJHS led 14-6, 24-8 and 40-17 at each period break and also had six points from Robbie Mueller. Trenton Hicks and Nick Bauersachs netted four points apiece. Braydon Cowley (three) and Stephano Euells (two) completed the scoring.
Pinckneyville also won the seventh grade game.
