Junior High Boys Basketball Roundup: T/SB Bounces Back, Jr. Panthers Fall
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pinckneyville (Junior High School) is 1-1 in Pool Play at the Marissa Invitational Tournament, following Wednesday's 45-39 loss against New Athens.
The Junior Panthers finish pool play against Sparta Thursday.
After trailing PJHS 21-19 at halftime, New Athens enjoyed a 26-18 scoring advantage in the final two periods.
Lucas Carter topped PJHS with 10 points. Chase Lazenby added eight points and Brayden Cowley seven.
Trenton Hicks and Justyn Rushing each netted six points. A basket by Henry Dudek completed the PJHS scoring.
T/SB Boys Split at #204
Tamaroa/St. Bruno lost to Akin (Grade School) 48-21, but bounced back to win over DeSoto 52-32, as the opening rounds of the Pinckneyville (#204) Invitational Tournament were completed.
Against DeSoto, T/SB had a game-high 24 points and four steals from Nolan Luke. Kyle Brocaille added eight points.
In the loss to Akin, Dayne Winter led T/SB with seven points and four rebounds.
Overall, the Indians are 1-3.
