BDC Volleyball Rivals Night: Trico Defeats Lady Falcons

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A struggling night at the serving line made a tough match all the more difficult for Elverado High School's Volleyball team Thursday night.

The Lady Falcons, just 42-for-51 in service, lost at Trico in the final regular season match of 2009. After winning game one, 26-24, Elverado fell 12-25 and 12-25 in the final two contests.

Finishing 3-7 in the Black Diamond Conference, EHS is 6-13 overall.

They'll start Class A Regional Tournament play Wednesday back at Trico, playing Zeigler-Royalton.

"We played well the first game, but stopped moving our feet on and playing offense after that," Lady Falcons coach Donette Wheatley said.

Arika Mace (seven points) was the scoring leader with Kelsey Tuthill issuing seven assists. Tuthill also had 17 digs.

Hillary Dinkins: 7-7 serving, 2 points, 7-7 hitting, 2 kills, 12 digs.

Adrienne Hardwig: 6-6 serving, 2 points, 2 blocks, 17-20 hitting.

Chelsea Cochran: 2-3 serving, 1 point, 10 digs

Kaylee Gresham: 1-1 serving.
