Oneta Brenning Bueckman of Chester
Oneta Brenning Bueckman, 95, of Chester, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Care in Red Bud.
She was born to Ernest and Ada (nee Wagner) Eggemeyer on April 3, 1922 in Walsh, Illinois. She married Albert Brenning who passed away. She later married Orville Bueckman who also preceded her in death.
Oneta was a book shuffler for Spartan Printing.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, American Legion Auxiliary, and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She collected angels, was an avid quilter, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include a sister, Alice Kueker of, Walsh, Ill.; five children, Ruth Ann (Roger) Cortner of Waterloo; Alberta Nitzsche of Mesa, Ariz.; Allen (Jeanne) Brenning of Murphysboro, Dick (Audree) Bueckman of St. Louis, and Sandra (Mark) Colvis of Chester; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Albert Brenning and Orville Bueckman; one sister, Selma Kueker; and one Daughter, Oneta.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, with Rev. Justin Massey officiating. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester.
