PCHS Harriers First at Frankfort
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville Community High School's Boys Cross Country squad returned from the Redbird-Six Invitational at West Frankfort Tuesday with the first place trophy.
Pinckneyville scored 33 points in the event.
AJ Ross (16:50) topped the Panthers with a fifth place showing.
Shay Kellerman (16:58) was the other PCHS medalist, earning sixth place laurels.
On the girls side, Pinckneyville didn't enter as a team but did have one individual medalist.
Emily Miller, 20:39, placed fourth.
Pinckneyville's boys and girls harriers are scheduled to run, weather permitting, in Chester's Invitational Thursday afternoon.
Next Thursday, the annual Panther Invitational will be hosted by Pinckneyville and held at the Perry County Fairgrounds.

Pinckneyville Community High School's Boys Golf team was fourth in a five-team match Wednesday at Red Hawk Golf Club.
PCHS (178) trailed Red Bud (157), West Frankfort (175) and Sparta (176) while beating Okawville (183).
Preston Chapman was low-man for the Panthers with a 39. Zach Kuberski shot 46, Justin Jenkel 46 and Adam Valentine 51.
Pinckneyville, 22-14, competes in Saturday's Mascoutah Invitational Tournament at Scott Air Base's Cardinal Creek layout.
