PCHS Golfers, Du Quoin Compete in Five-team Match

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville Community High School's Boys Golf squad has a head-to-head match record of 21-11 following a five-team match at Red Hawk Golf Club Thursday afternoon.

The Panthers (172) were second to Murphysboro (160) but defeated Du Quoin (185), Johnston City (192) and Chester (210) as Preston Chapman grabbed match medalist honors with a 37.

Pinckneyville's other scorers were Adam Valentine (41), Justin Jenkel (46) and Hayden Kelly (49). Zach Kuberski (53) also competed.

For Du Quoin, Eli Epplin led the way with a 42. Patrick Riley (46), Jacob Fisher (48) and Ben Hirsch (49) scored.

Braden Woodside added a 51 and Jake Stanhouse shot 52.

Both Du Quoin and Pinckneyville compete Tuesday in the River-to-River Conference Championships. The event will be held at Stone Creek in Makanda.
