Lady Panthers in Regional Finals
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Pinckneyville (Junior High School) Lady Panther softball team faced Marissa Wednesday in the first round of the Class M Regional, winning the game 11-1 in five innings.
PJHS will face the winner of the Trico/Chester match up in the Championship game on Monday at Greg Hale Field.
Logan Queen was winning pitcher for the Jr. Panthers in four innings stiking out eight.
Brooklyn Morrow pitched the final inning.
Offensive leader for the Jr. Panthers was Jordyn Wieland with two hits and three runs scored.
Kaitlyn Sweeney added a pair of hits with two RBI, and Kala Emling had 3 hits with a homerun and 3RBI.
The Jr. Panther baseball team starts their Class M regional play Thursday facing Trico in Chester at 4 o'clock. The championship game will be Monday in Chester.
