Ellis Grove board meeting

The following items were discussed and approved at the meeting:

Water Tower/Grant: Foundation work will begin in late October on the 100,000 gallon water tank. Contractor, Caldwell Tanks, Inc. will wait for the soy beans to be harvested. Cost of the project is $411,000.00. Project cost is reduced by $16,500 as the village paid for the demolition of the old water storage tank.

Tax Levy approved: The Board approved the levy for $57,225.00 which is the same amount as the previous year.

Reitz/098 $30,000 Infrastructure funding: Rep. Reitz advised that the Capital plan approved by the General Assembly and signed by the governor, included $30,000 for Ellis Grove for general infrastructure. The Village has several water projects ready when funds are received.

Mower: The Board agreed to get bids for the purchase of a zero turn mower.

Cemetery: Summer flowers will be removed from the cemetery beginning October 1st.
